Rowad Al-Manahej Educational Platform

As the DevUnit team, we developed Rwad AlManahej as a modern educational platform designed to serve schools, students, and parents across Saudi Arabia. The goal was to create a centralized digital space for managing educational content, curriculum resources, and communication with institutions. Below is a detailed overview of the project lifecycle, covering requirement analysis, planning, development, design, performance optimization, security, and testing.

  1. Requirements Gathering

We conducted collaborative sessions with the Rowad Al-Manahej administration to identify their key objectives.
    Functional requirements included:

    • Displaying curriculum content organized by subject and grade.

    • Providing downloadable materials and digital lessons.

    • Creating sections for school information, services, and news.

    • Enabling easy communication via a responsive contact form.

Non-functional requirements focused on full Arabic language support, fast performance, search optimization, and mobile responsiveness.
We also studied user expectations within the educational sector to ensure a smooth and intuitive user experience.

  2. Planning Phase

We designed a detailed sitemap that included essential pages: Home, Curriculums, Educational Services, About Us, Blog/Articles, and Contact Form.
    Our plan outlined:

    • A development timeline divided into milestones (UI/UX design, CMS setup, testing, deployment).

    • SEO and speed optimization tasks for ranking improvement.

    • Hosting setup with reliable uptime and SSL security.

We adopted an Agile development approach to ensure continuous feedback from the client and rapid adaptation to new needs during development

  3. Implementation and Design Phase

The UI/UX design was created using Figma, emphasizing a clean educational theme that appeals to both parents and students.
Color tones and typography were inspired by academic trust and clarity, featuring organized card-style layouts for subjects and resources.

The site was developed using WordPress + Elementor, ensuring full responsiveness and easy content management.
    We integrated:

    • Dynamic post types for courses and articles.

    • Custom fields for grade levels, subject filters, and teacher information.

    • SEO-friendly metadata and structured schema for better search visibility

  4. Problem Solving

During implementation, we encountered challenges with:

    • Large content images slowing down loading times — resolved through optimized compression and CDN integration.

    • Font rendering inconsistencies across browsers — fixed by implementing system-independent Arabic fonts.

    • Layout responsiveness issues — addressed with advanced CSS media queries and Elementor breakpoints.

Version control using GitHub and task management via Trello ensured organized collaboration and smooth delivery.

  5. Security and Optimization

From the outset, we prioritized security and performance.
    Key measures included:

    • HTTPS and SSL encryption.

    • Regular malware scans and automatic backups.

    • Input sanitization to prevent XSS or spam submissions.

    • CDN integration for speed and reliability.

We also fine-tuned caching, image delivery, and minification to achieve exceptional page speed and high Core Web Vitals scores.

  6. Testing and Verification

Before launch, we conducted thorough testing:

    • Cross-browser and device testing to guarantee a consistent user experience.

    • Form validation and email delivery tests to ensure reliable communication.

    • User acceptance testing (UAT) with the client team for final approval.

Conclusion

Rowad Al-Manahej project demonstrates DevUnit’s capability to build advanced, content-rich educational platforms that merge professional design, high performance, and seamless usability.
Through this project, we’ve empowered the client to manage and showcase their educational resources digitally — supporting their mission of advancing modern education across Saudi Arabia.
